What is MiniRoos?

MiniRoos is Football Australia’s official junior football program designed for boys and girls aged 6 to 12 years. It’s a fun, safe and inclusive way for children to learn the game, make friends and stay active while developing their football skills.

The program is based on small-sided games, meaning fewer players on smaller fields. This allows every child to have more time with the ball, more involvement in play and more opportunities to develop confidence and teamwork.

MiniRoos focuses on teaching the core skills of football such as dribbling, passing, shooting and positioning, while promoting enjoyment and participation over competition. Scores and ladders are not recorded for the younger age groups to keep the focus on learning and having fun.

At Pimpama City FC, MiniRoos teams train once or twice per week and play weekend games against other local clubs during the football season. The program helps children build a strong foundation for the future—whether they continue playing socially or move into competitive football pathways as they grow older.

The Season will kick off from the 6th of March 2026.
Trials will take place from mid-January. Specific dates and time will be announced on our Facebook page.
